Effective Date: September 11, 2026
Oralis ("Oralis," "we," or "us") is a student study-planning application that allows users to upload course syllabi, extract academic deadlines and events, manage study schedules, and optionally sync those events to Google Calendar. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.
By creating an Oralis account or using our services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please do not use Oralis.
When you create an Oralis account, we collect your email address and name. Authentication is managed through our platform infrastructure, which may support email/password and third-party sign-in options (such as Google) depending on the login methods configured for your account.
You may upload course syllabi or other course materials (such as PDF, DOCX, image, or text files) so that Oralis can automatically extract important dates and deadlines. These files are processed by our AI extraction service to identify relevant academic events. The extracted events (titles, dates, types, and descriptions) are saved to your account as calendar events. The original uploaded file content is processed ephemerally for extraction and is not stored as a file in our database.
To provide features such as syllabus date extraction, AI-generated practice questions, flashcards, mock exams, and AI tutoring, Oralis sends relevant text and file content to AI processing services. This processing is necessary to generate the study content you request. The AI-generated outputs (questions, flashcards, explanations, chat responses, etc.) may be saved to your account if you choose to save them.
Oralis stores the study-related content you create or generate within the app, including:
We track usage metrics such as credits used, features accessed, and daily activity counts to operate free-tier limits and improve the service. If you purchase a paid subscription, we process payment information through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers — payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe.
We do not sell your personal data or Google user data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Oralis relies on trusted third-party services to operate. These providers may process limited data on our behalf as necessary to deliver their services:
Each provider is bound by their own terms and privacy policies, and we share only the minimum data necessary to provide the relevant feature.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure managed by our platform provider. Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Access to your study data is restricted to your account through row-level security policies that prevent other users from accessing your records.
No method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you acknowledge that you provide your information at your own risk.
We retain your personal data for as long as your Oralis account is active. You can delete individual items at any time — for example, removing a calendar event, deleting a flashcard deck, or clearing a saved chat session — directly within the app.
When you request account deletion (see below), we work to remove your personal data from our active systems. Certain data may be retained in backup systems for a limited period before it is permanently deleted.
Billing records and payment history may be retained as necessary for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, in accordance with applicable law.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@oralis.io.
Oralis offers an optional Google Calendar integration that allows you to sync your Oralis study events to your Google Calendar. This section provides detailed disclosure about how Google user data is handled.
Oralis's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time:
Disconnecting does not delete your Oralis calendar events — it only stops future synchronization and revokes Oralis's access to your Google account.
You can request deletion of your Oralis account and all associated data at any time by emailing us atinfo@oralis.iowith the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Please send the request from the email address associated with your Oralis account so we can verify your identity.
Upon verification, we will delete your account and associated study data, including calendar events, flashcards, saved questions, mock exam results, chat sessions, and performance data. If your Google Calendar is connected at the time of deletion, we recommend disconnecting it first and using the "Clear All" function to remove synced events from your Google Calendar.
Oralis is designed for students preparing for the Dental Admission Test (DAT), which is typically taken by adult college students and graduates. Oralis is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us atinfo@oralis.ioand we will take steps to delete that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email.
We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information. Your continued use of Oralis after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
